Joy :: Something Beautiful for God

Posted by JennieKieu 0 comments
Hi everyone, I hope you're having a great weekend so far. Today is such a nice day to take the kids out to the park and play. I haven't done this for so long now, spending Saturday with my niece and nephew was such a a blessing for me.

The word for today is joy. My heart is filled with joy today, seeing my niece and nephew having a fun time gives me joy. The joy of blue skies, the joy of life, the joy of swings, the joy of laughter, the joy of air, and of lustrous light of day.

Joy is prayer, joy is strength, joy is love, joy is a net of love by which you can catch souls. God loves a cheerful giver. She gives most who gives with joy. The best way to show our gratitude to God and the people is to accept everything with joy. A joyful heart is the normal result of a heart burning with love. Never let anything so fill you with sorrow as to make you forget the joy of Christ Risen.

We all long for heaven where God is, but we have it in our power to be in heaven with Him right now, to be happy with Him at this every moment. But being happy with Him now means:
loving as He loves,
helping as He helps,
giving as He gives,
serving as He serves,
rescuing as He rescues,
being with Him twenty-four hours,
touching Him in His distressing disguise.

The Power of Positive Thinking

Posted by JennieKieu 0 comments

Being positive or negative are habits of thoughts that have a very strong influence on life. Positive thinking are powerful, make it a habit to dwell on only positive thoughts, it will change your mood and relieve stress. Below are some positive quotes to dwell on.
  • A positive attitude brings strength, energy and initiative.
  • Positive thoughts are not enough. There have to be positive feelings and positive actions.
  • When you say "I can", and expect success, you fill yourself with confidence and happiness.
  • You can close the windows and darken your room, and you can open the windows and let light in. It is a matter of choice. Your mind is your room. Do you darken it or do you fill it with light?
  • Positive thinking and negative thinking are attitudes. They are points of view, and show the way people handle their affairs. Suppose you stand at a crossroads, one way leads to a desert and the other one to lush meadows, which way do you choose? Clear thoughts produce clear results.
  • Positive thinking evokes more energy, more initiative and more happiness.
  • Train your mind to think in terms of 'possible' and 'can be done'.
  • Happy thoughts attract happy people into your life.
  • Happy thoughts fill your life with happiness.
  • Fill your mind with light, happiness, hope, feelings of security and strength, and soon your life will reflect these qualities.

The Bible says "Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. " - Philippians 4:8

I hope these encourage you. Hope you have a blessed week!

It's amazing the life that I’m living today, and I count my blessings every day for the gifts that God has given me.” - Sasha Azeveno

I am a day late for sharing my "counting blessings"....Here I am continue down my list of blessings.

#15....New and organized room, looking forward to coming home every day.
#16....The unspeakable joy deep within my heart.
#17....A red polka dot blouse
#18....An encouraging scripture this morning's devotion. "But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy." - 1 Peter 2: 9-10 Therefore I declare that "I am God's special POSSESSION."
#19....A bowl of noodles from my sister
#20....A new song "Because of You"
#21....I am still breathing

Thank you Lord for your gifts.

Love Story :: Song of Songs

Posted by JennieKieu 0 comments

My beloved spoke, and said to me:“Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away.
For lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone.
The flowers appear on the earth; the time of singing has come,
And the voice of the turtledove is heard in our land.
The fig tree puts forth her green figs, and the vines with the tender grapes, give a good smell.
Rise up, my love, my fair one,
And come away!
(Song of Songs 2:10-13)

Hello, I hope you’re enjoying your Wednesday so far. Lately I love reading the book of Song of Songs in the bible. It is the most heart moving book about the love of Christ and His bride.

Shulamite is a lovely young woman who has a lover. Her lover is a shepherd, although he is absence, but she always think about him like he is there. Shulamite, always talk to her lover (Jesus), though not seeing him, just like us, we always talk to the Lord through prayer.

My beloved spoke and said to me: “Rise up, my love, my fair one and come away. The winter is past, the rain is over and gone. Time of singing has come. Rise up and come away!” The winter represents gloomy and sad days. Jesus said those days is past, our old days are in the past and happy days are here.

A time of singing has come. When we have Jesus in our life, we start our life with singing. Our days are like Spring. It’s a joy to become sons and daughters of God. We sing in church, in our homes, in the field, in a hospital bed, there is singing everywhere.

God wants us to rise up, to dance, to sing, to be happy, because our sorrow days had passed, our rainy days are over.

If you don’t know Jesus and still living in the cold winter, come to him, to enjoy the beautiful spring and blessings. Jesus is the fountain of life. “For with you is the fountain of life; in your light we see light.” Psalm 36:9
